Batch jobs and projects¶
Batch jobs¶
The Batch tab applies the same processing to many cubes at once. Input folders are searched recursively for QCLM cube files (.bin).
Batch Preprocessing : Choose an Input folder and an Output folder, then set the processing options the same way as in the Processing tab. Click Run Batch Preprocess.
Batch Index Computation : Choose an input and output folder and import an Index YAML file (see Custom indices). Pick what to export: index maps, projections and/or plots. Click Run Batch Index.
Jobs are sent to the backend first and run there. If the backend can't be reached, the job runs locally in the desktop app instead. Progress shows in the Job queue, and the queue is saved in ~/.qclm, so it survives restarts.
Projects¶
A project saves everything needed to reopen an analysis exactly as you left it. In the I/O tab:
- Export Project writes a folder containing:
Parameters.yml: session metadata, wavelengths, reference paths, processing settings, ROIs and plot settingsroi_0/mask.tif: the main ROI maskroi_1/mask.tif: the measurement ROI mask
- Import Project reads such a folder (or one with
Parameters.json) and restores the session, masks included.
Because Parameters.yml is plain text, it works well for recording exactly how a result was produced. You can keep it alongside your data or in version control.
Exporting images¶
| Export | Produces |
|---|---|
| Export TIFF / Export RGB composite (TIFF) | Full-resolution image from the cube data, not a screenshot |
| Snapshot canvas (PNG) | What you currently see in the viewer |
| Export spectral plot (PNG), Export PNG plot | Plots |
| Export CSV | The underlying numbers, for use in Python, R, Excel and similar tools |
